Happy 90th Birthday Grandma!

top to bottom: I took pictures of her to use for her invitations and the newspaper; Her cake table; Grandma at her party with all of her great grandkids; Mark loves his Grandma so much!

Today marks a huge milestone in the life of Mark's Grandma Dorothy, she turns 90 years old! We had a huge party for her on Sunday, she easily had over 100 guests come to wish her a happy birthday. A true testament to the life she has lead. She is a social butterfly! She has always been very special to Mark and I. When we started dating I was 15 and couldn't go out on a date until I turned 16. Except if we went to see his grandparents. So every Friday and Saturday night we would spend playing euchre with Grandpa and Grandma. We had so many good times with them. They were like our best friends. They were so cool, they loved to laugh and they were very much in love. Great role models for a young couple. Sadly, Grandpa passed away 6 years ago after 62 years of marriage. One summer Grandma and I even worked together at Mark's uncle's Deli. We had the best time! I wasn't old enough to sell alcohol and she couldn't run the cash register so I would take care of that end of it while she took the money and handed over the booze. Grandma has the best sense of humor, everyone who knows her can appreciate it! She is known for beautiful quilts that she makes, the delicious breads and cookies that she bakes and for playing cards and sending cards. She is a super lady and we wish her the best day possible! She sure deserves it!
