Daddy Daughter Dance

Daddy Daughter Dance 2010The "official photo" taken at the dance. Myah's first little coursage! Ms. Cindy got us in at her home to do Myah's first "up do", she sat still for an hour and a half! We also got our second ever trim! It looked so pretty!!! So much hair! Notice the sparkly glitter spray in her hair and on her body, yes, that was her first ever Victoria's Secret purchase! Smelling the pretty flowers! She was very excited about the flowers! So much so that she couldn't wait for Daddy to finish getting ready, he HAD to put in on her then! Sweet Daddy even went out a purchased a new pink tie to match Myah's dress. Practicing her twirls in the bathroom. Pretty as a princess! She loves her Daddy just dearly. And he does her just the same. She kept running around the house while Mark was getting ready asking "where's my prince?". Then she looked at me and told me that I could be her fairy Godmother and Dayton was her horse. She told Mark "this is our first date!" She then told me "Mommy, I am going to marry Daddy, you can find another prince". With both of their silly personalities I knew that they were going to have a blast! The dance is usually held in the pretty high school but this year due to scheduling conflicts it was in the middle school. Does is get any more precious than this?
Taking a break from dancing, Mark said she danced all night long! They even played "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman, such a special song to us!
There were prizes for the little girls and their dads. We didn't win.

Myah and Brooke danced together all night long!

Brooke and Havannah fighting over Myah, cracks me up!
She just takes my breath away.

Her teacher Ms. Lisa was helping out, she even danced with the girls a little bit.

Arriving home with a huge smile on her face!!!

After 32 bobby pins were taken out this is what she was left with!

Happy Chinese New Year!!! And Happy Valentines Day!!

Gung Hay Fat Choy!
The Lunar New Year dates from 2600 BC, when the Emperor Huang Ti introduced the first cycle of the Chinese zodiac.
Because of cyclical lunar dating, the first day of the year can fall anywhere between late January and the middle of February. On the Chinese calendar, 2010 is Lunar Year 4708.
On the Western calendar, the start of the New Year falls on Sunday, February 14, 2010 — The Year of the Tiger. This year, the date has special significance since it also happens to fall on Valentine's Day making it a doubly auspicious day to celebrate in the West.

Dayton'a' 500

I am sure that this Porsche is something that Dayton would love.... but realistically, we could probably afford...... This!!!!!! I am sure he would feel super cool in this one! Although I do like the large front end!

Dayton starts drivers ed today... boo hooo. My baby is growing up! He is just thrilled and I am a wee bit nervous. This is huge! What a strange feeling knowing that my little boy will be driving down our local streets behind the wheel with someone else in the car besides Mark or I . I feel very confident in the company that we chose, Mark used to "moonlight" as a drivers ed instructor at this place and we at one time owned our own company. But there is just something about letting your child operate a moving motor vehicle that leaves me unsettled. And to top it off, we are supposed to get our biggest snow storm of the year this week. Yikes! I am hoping that they will not put these young drivers out on those roads! We have always called Dayton "Daytona 500" since he was a little guy, lets just hope he doesn't drive like that! I am excited for him to start this phase of his life and I am sure eventually I will be glad that he can run himself everywhere, sometimes I feel like painting my car yellow and charging for rides! I just can't believe that he is now old enough to start driving, time flies people, enjoy your sweetie pies, they grow up so fast!
