Cue the Crickets!!

Hello, anybody out there?  It has been so crazy around here lately with Dayton's recovery that I just have not had time to post anything on here, nor did I have much to write about,  I did do lots of cleaning and decorating while I was cooped up inside playing nurse though, that I why my other blog has received so much more attention lately.  I really have some major catching up on here .  So sorry to my family for making you wait so long! Anyhow, it is my goal to get caught up before I turn the big 4-0 in 12 days! Oh my!!! Actually turning this milestone has really motivated me to do lots of things lately!  So here goes our life in a nutshell:
Myah celebrated her bday at preschool, she was the last one of the year!

Cousin Dylan entered the family, cousin Sheri did a great job!
Myah graduated from preschool and is ready for kindergarten!
Not so sure mommy is though!
Myah and Whitney sat through many hot baseball games watching their big brothers!
Our nephew Taylor collected a ton of awards at the end of his high school career, we were so proud of him, can't believe he is going off to college!
This was taken  while he was watching Taylor play, just 2 days before he broke his tibia.
Next thing we knew, this was our life for 8 weeks! Sorry for the quality, this was after an ambulance ride, notice how they cut his ball pants up :( He still has his uniform on.
Uncle Scott got a huge promotion and is up and moving the family to Iowa, we are so sad but happy for him!
We had lots of visitors while Dayton was laid up.

Uncle Eric is in love with Jody!

Sarah and Myah on our 4 year  Forever Family Day, they came over our way to celebrate.

Yikes!!!

Melissa and Jason invited us over for a day of R&R, so nice!! Swimming in the pool, pontoon ride, bonfire, fishing, just what we needed, we have been so cooped up!

Not  the greatest picture but this is proof that Dayton is officially taller than Nate!
Uncle Mark with the graduate Taylor at his party.
Dayton's second outing, Brielle's bday party!
Cousin Ashely delivered her sweet little girl Ella! We can't wait to meet her!
Just had to throw this one in,  this was Myah's picture for her bday invite.
Our little slugger rounding the bases
She has no fear!!!

Sorry for the crummy pics but I am rushing to get this on!  Hope you enjoyed a little glimpse into our crazy life.  Dayton can now walk on his leg as of last Monday. He is done with the home physical therapy and starts going to the clinic this week.  He is getting stronger every day. Still no running or jumping for 4 weeks.  We are ready  to finally enjoy our summer!

I am so behind in posts but oh well, I am enjoying every minute of summer while I can! Dayton has had alot of baseball games, he had a back injury but is ok now so it gave us a little break in our schedule. We had a great 4th of July. We got to see our good friends Jeff and Sherry at their cottage on Houghton Lake, we miss them so much already! Hopefully we can visit them out in Wisconsin next month. We spent time at my moms house helping her get some outside chores done. My Grandma came up for a few days with us and we so enjoy her company, she is the sweetest woman I know and Myah loved having the attention from her Grandmas. My cousin Sheri is in town from Florida with her family and they came to one of Dayton's baseball games with my Aunt and Uncle. Our good friends Kurt and Debbie invited us up to their cottage and we had a blast riding 4 wheelers, mules and go carts through the woods. Lets just say my kids have been sleeping very well lately!
We are going out on the boat today, this weather had just not been very warm yet this summer, it feels like back to school weather instead! We have been taking walks in the neighborhood at night, playing in Myah's pool during the day, jumping on the trampoline and working in my garden. I am a summer baby and something in me just craves the sunshine! I love it!

Day at the Lake

A few weeks ago ( I am falling behind here!) we took our boat over Mark's brother and sister in law's house and went out on the local lake. We had a blast! We took Scott, Lora, Taylor and Rachel out with us, Nate had just left for college 2 days prior so we were minus one. We ended up stopping by a friend of ours home/cottage, they weren't there but gave us permission to use their floaty thing in the water. We did this thing called blobbing, where you jump on the trampoline and try to jump on this blobby thing and throw the other person off. Well, as you can see, we weren't very successful but oh my goodness did we laugh! Taylor was able to really catapult Dayton but of course I have no pictures of that. We tubed and floated all day and even took a small grill and stopped on the shore to have lunch. Myah fell asleep on the boat at the end of the day. I hate to see these summer days come to and end!

This is the video of Mark trying to blob Taylor off! Lora and I were laughing like crazy!
P.S. I am not a big fan of Kid Rock but this song was on all of the time while we were on the boat this summer over and over again. Kid Rock is a native Michigander, maybe that is why this song was played over and over again. We love how he says "summertime in northern Michigan". Brings back memories!
