It's not always bows and tutus!

Myah loves to put things on her head, like her bowl.
This is how we found her the other day after her nap, with her pants on her head.
How is potty training going you ask? Well, the potty seat makes a great purse...
and a fashionable hat! You didn't think she smiled all of the time did you?
Her favorite thing to do is to gather the calculators and play with them on the landing, in her diaper of course, notice, no bow!

I had to put a little reality into the blog. Lately, it seems all of my pictures are posed, poofy dresses, flowered hats and beautiful settings. I wanted to let you all in on a little secret, that isn't how we live! I do love all things pretty and am a neat freak, however, I am all for letting kids be kids, getting dirty, exploring their surroundings, and expressing their own style (within reason). Both of my children have their own minds when it comes to what they want to wear that is for sure. Myah does love bows and fusses if her bow comes out of her hair, sometimes I think it is out of necessity to keep her hair out of her face! She loves to have just a diaper on, she has been taking her clothes off while she sleeps and when she wakes up she tries to put them back on. So funny! I thought you might like a glimpse into our "real world" for a change!

LOVE your real world! She is cute even when not fuffy! These were some great pics, especially the potty seat, now, there is some real blackmail material once the boys start appearing ;)

Emily was always a "landing" player, too. Funny.

Have a super day.

Love the real world!!! It is funny becuase I never want to put the "white trash" pictures on my blog but when I do the response is so funny. People love to see the REAL way we live and belive me, in my case, it is not the fluffy, pretty posed look. It is the 2 crazy boys with all their friends messing up my house and leaving their stuff everywhere and a little 11 month old crawling around after her big brothers. Nothing to write home about but for sure a happy well adjusted life full of dirt and slime and all the other stuff that goes along with crazy boys (and Mia too)!

Oh my goodness, the calculator picture had me shaking my head again! We were just searching our house for a calculator and guess who is constantly taking them and putting them in her purses? You got it -- Miss Sarah. I will never stop being amazed at how much our girl are alike!

Phew...I was beginning to think I am the only one in blogland whose kid is a mess, and the only mom who has snot and food on her from where her child has so lovingly wiped it on her... :o)

Lindy loves to put things on her head, too. I caught her wearing my underwear on her head and did see her put the Dora potty seat around her face like a mask. Eww.

Thanks for sharing the other side of having a toddler...

Happy day,
Lisa

Love these photos Leslie. They are so cute. These photos are great. That girl has such a gorgeous head of hair. She's really beautiful. And she's smart, too. I still can't believe how clearly she said my name.

Thanks so much for the email with the photos. I just replied, so let me know what you want me to make for you. I'd be happy to do it.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Love,

Danielle

I love all the calculators, it's so funny these "collections" kids love! (Elliot does that too)
She's so precious, even picking her nose or whatever she was doing!! LOL
And if I had a pink potty, I would probably be carrying it around too!! :D
Thanks for sharing!
(I need to do a similar post because someone just asked me if my boys are "always smiling?"
Ha, if she only knew!! :D)

She is so spunky!!!!! I can only imagine what she looks like when she wakes up!! Too cute!!! Thanks for sharing a piece of your reality. Somehow, it feels like a look into my future with Miss Ruby!!!! She was trying to strip off her clothes today before nap time! I finally had some time to catch up on your world today!!! Your Xmas pics from last year are amazing!!!! I hope your Aunt is recovering, and that your prayers for her are being answered.
Blessings,
Diana

Leslie,

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement on my Make Room for Mei Mei blog. It is comforting to me to know I'll have people who will truly understand when I'm having difficult days.

I find myself asking how will I stay focused on praying for her and remembering it will happen without becoming all-consumed and worried about the wait. I know God will be there the entire time and his timing is perfect. Thank you for reminding me of that from the start.

Have a lovely day,
Lisa
